Return of Appassionato

Big change? I would say so. Appassionato is now working as my personal site including my blog, profile, personal portfolio and other website resources (the old designs, tutorials, etc.). Sorry to disappoint you, but all the more "interesting" sections to the site have not been completed yet. 
However, feel free to explore the sections that are currently up and I shall sit back and wait for any feedback or error reports.
So this semester has ended 11 days ago. I'm still anticipating the exam results but I feel accomplished that I've done quite a lot on this site within these 11 days. The entire blog/commenting system including the administration panel required a considerate amount of PHP coding that was out of my realm of knowledge prior to this project and there! I've done it. 
(Yes, I'm playing with the smileys. Thanks to Rikkye for them!)
And to my dear blog friends, please change your links to my blog! 
Constructive criticism regarding the design and content is, as always, welcome and appreciated. And now, I shall take a rest and think about what to do for the upcoming content. Ladies and gentlemen, I leave it up to you—for now.
Update: Has anyone else ever thought that this design reminds them of Cadbury chocolate? I'm sure this purple is their licenced trademark colour and the "wood planks" look too fake, they look more like chocolate planks to me. My friend asked if I was doing advertising for Cadbury.

Oh my gosh, Rilla. You have amazed me yet again. It is absolutely beautiful. The driftwood links are perfect for the design. I can't wait to see what you come up with next. Holy crap! You've certainly reached beyond the stars in this layout! It's so beautiful!!! I think I'm going to sign up for the Rilla Special Lessons! lol xD Great job with the layout. It is splendid! I like what you did with the signs up top under the banner. It adds a surprising and cute twist to the layout.
I also like how you have it so that when you hover over a link or a place to write text in, the side has dark purple, and the inside boxes have the light purple. It really goes well with the layout. Beautiful color arrangement!

Ahh... the layout is neat. Oo, I just noticed the navigation is so ubberly cool. O_O
Now that you mention it, it does look like Cadbury chocolate. Haha, now you're making me want some. =\ -
Oh~ yay, welcome back! The new layout is amazing. I think the only bit of critique I might have is the fact that the topmost banner seems really big, and it kind of seems like there's a lot of blank space in it. But other than that, the composition of the layout and the colors... it's just amazing. <3

The nav is so funky. It moves! It's a bit of a shame to see your graphics site go but then again, maintaining one for such a long time is monumental.

Wow! This layout is sooo beautiful, and your friend's kinda right. It reminds me of Cadbury, which makes your layout totally yummy. Lol

Oh and on my site quota, if you don't mind, could you increase it a little? Wordpress is eating up a lot of space and I have yet to clear up my ftp again. (I did when I got the email a few weeks back but I guess wp is too greedy to please). I'll empty out as much as I can soon. Thanks! =) -
Glad to see you back and love the layout in all it's Cadbury goodness, the navigation up there would be my favorite part.
Hope you do well, waiting for results to come in can be so nerve wracking sometimes.

Well, I don't know what the site looks like before this redesign, but I like the way you've done things around here a LOT. I adore the background and the color scheme and how things are nice and clean without being artificial or unoriginal. Very awesome. *thumbs up*
