HM forum suckers

One of my regular forum-hangouts: Happymapling.net. It's really a place controlled by power-hungry, up-themselves and arrogant bumming moderators with no life. I used to be obsessed with MapleStory and now that I've made friends there, I'm not quitting for the suckers, I'll just top my blog's Rants category even more. (I was going to refrain from making another rant post but Belinda said I should rant more.)
'Pho': How to be attractive to the opposite sex
Perfectly self-explanatory:
"Be yourself" doesn't work. Yourself isn't what girls want. If it is then you wouldn't have any problems. What they want is money and looks. They can lie to us and themselves all they want. In the end, the guy that looks like Brad Pitt that drives the Ferrari is going to get the chicks.
Ever wonder how girls can somehow manage to get with the one guy that abuses her? Because they are biologically attracted to guys with money and good looks. Those same guys are general the type to abuse people as well. You don't get the good job by bending over. You have to be the pusher.
Since the majority of my blog visitors are female (at least I think they're female), I can sort of expect comments against 'Pho''s theory. Making generalisations like that is bad, boy, bad.

DaMirrorLink: Programmer-Wannabe
The forum was recently restored to a previous state a while ago. Of course, some of the new posts were not backed-up in the back-up used for restoration so these posts went missing.
MySQL got rolled back, thats all
Firstly, other people on this forum aren't going to understand what MySQL means. He just likes acting cool and smart since he wants to be a programmer in the future. Well unfortunately, I know that MySQL is a database management system using Structured Query Language so you can now tell me what "rolling back" such a system means. This is exactly like one of those little "web designers" that makes comments such as "Your CSS looks so cool!" (That might really be just my own problem.)
I'm not this mean and picky all the time. I finished my last test of this round of tests last night, which went extremely well, but now I have essays and assignments and more essays and more assignments. Ranting is good for health, guys.

How did he have time to post at the forums with all those chicks to look after? He talks and hands out advices like he was a pro - But since when is that a good thing?
I hope your forum will get rid of some of the new bad seeds and somewhat return to it's former self - but that almost never happens so enjoy while you can. -
I like good looking rich guys, but unless they have something intelligent to say I'm not going to spare them more than 3 seconds (if that much).
As for the programmer wannabe type... it sounded perfectly fine to me (ok so I am a programmer). SQL server (dunno about ysql) has a command which you can use when dealing with transactions. You use rollback when a transaction could only be completed partially (eg power outage in the middle of it), so you restore the database to the form it had before the transaction has been started.
So yeah, I guess it can make sense written like that. -
Yay, more ranting.
When I was into Maple Story, I mostly hung around the (also pretty big) sleepwood forum. Some dicky people there too.
That Pho guy sounds like an absolute dick. Ugh. -
@Vera: I don't know. I looked up the ROLLBACK command in MySQL and it does rollback for transactions but you don't actually rollback "MySQL" so-to-speak. Perhaps it sounds vague but it's just like how "Your styles look so cool!" as opposed to "Your CSS looks so cool!" Though, it was more the whole... Everyone already concluded that the past data had been restored and he butts in saying "MySQL got rolled back" while the rest of the people on the forum wouldn't have a clue what in the world MySQL is.

And they should say something easy to understand. Because, I know loads of people who don't have a clue about what SQL is, and obviously they won't bother to look it up too. -

Is "Pho" for serious? Well, it is quite obvious that he never has had a girl and from the looks of it, never will. Yeah, he must know that girls are biologically attracted to dick heads. I mean that's why he's giving advice, right?
And I know I'm taking his words maybe a bit too literally, but Brad Pitt is UGLY. He is not good-looking.

Also, the MySQL did rollback because Star was late with payment for the site with GoDaddy.
So shut your trap next time you don't know what the hell you are talking about. -

I can't believe that Pho guy... I just learned from him that woman are BIOLOGICALLY attracted to things like money. Maybe he should spread money smelling perfume on to see if "the chicks" get all over him.
He is obviously attracted only to beautiful rich girls that ignore him, and that's why he think that all girls think the way he does (but vice versa, with guys).

You know, I highly doubt if any male actually knows what attracts females to them. Just like no female know what attracts males to them. Because it is different for each person.

@Skye, simple, when a host refurbishes the webspace or a payment is late or spambots, etc. there is an option to upload a previous version of the MySQL to the webspace, thus rolling it back, iStar was late with payment to GoDaddy for webhosting, so they simply rolled the forum and website back to August 28th.

So technically you don't apply rollback on the whole database, that's a given. However the way he intended to say it can be accepted (i.e. the database was restored). OK so it's does sound like he's trying to sound more knowledgeable than he actually is... but eh
Also, is it just me, but I have no idea what Holandica just said... *scratches head confused* -

I'm not THAT ugly. Think to yourself, what do you see as the perfect husband? Someone that has money to support you and your family. Someone that looks good. Whatever personal traits you find attractive, could be funny, smart, and whatever. The main points are the first two. Every girl likes to see themselves with someone handsome and rich, the personality traits that are attractive differ from person to person.
You can continue the hating on a jerk now.
