After more than three weeks of mental torture since the exams finished, my long-waited complete set of exam results for this semester finally came through yesterday.
- Accounting: A+
- Economics: A+
- Law: B+
- Mathematics: A+
- Statistics: A+
As expected, the lowest mark had to be for Law. *sulks* But my overall year GPA is reasonably high – high enough for entry into second-year Law if there are no surprises. So I’m satisfied.
On the downside, my next year’s timetable is quite bad. That is, classes until 5 pm on three days per week. I’m not looking forward to the papers much either.
- LAW 201 Criminal Law
- LAW 211 Public Law
- LAW 299 Legal Research
- ECON 201 Microeconomics
- ECON 211 Macroeconomics
- ECON 241 International Economics
- INTBUS 210 International Business Requirement
- MATHS 208 Data Analysis for Commerce
- Can’t decide between Japanese, Psychology or Philosophy for my last paper
Boring classes. Probably a boring post for those who don’t care. But I know I always like knowing what papers other students are taking because I’m nosy that way.

Like many others, my sister and I got this famous book on the day it was released in bookstores. But while my sister finished it on the day, I only recently did (after leaving it in my bottom drawer cabinet for three months). Considering myself as a dedicated Harry-Potter-series lover, I am indeed a social failure. Though, better late than never!
I found it really exciting throughout. It’s impressive how J.K. Rowling managed to link such a long story together from the first to the seventh book and resolve all the mysteries by the end of everything.
Contrary to popular distaste for the epilogue, I liked it. Well, I’ve always liked the “happily after scene” after a good story.
I have yet to make my Reading Log entry for this, and I’ll write more thoughts for it when I do. Hopefully by the end of my summer holidays (until 3 March) I will have completed the entire Harry Potter series again.
For those who are not into Harry Potter: If a book series could be so popular that readers of all genders/sexual orientations/ages/sizes/blah across the globe are into it, it means it’s definitely worth your time to have a try.
(… Did I just spend all that time manually upgrading WordPress and then remember I had the WordPress Automatic Upgrade plugin? Ahhh *swears*)

This is a breakdown of how I currently waste my life on the web.
Profile sites
- Facebook: I log on at least once a day. The Facebook applications are such life-wasters, but I still love them.
- Bebo: to be honest, it’s boring. But I log on whenever I get an email notification for a new comment, etc.
Forums
- Snark: we all love Snark. How can you not love Snark? It’s one place where people actually understand what you’re talking about. (Because everyone pretty much speaks the language of gibberish.)
- Happy Mapling: lots of idiots, lots of bums, lots of fun.
Bookmarking sites
- del.icio.us: now when I search for things, I tend to look in del.icio.us first, Google second. Because the sites bookmarked by more people tend to be better, I guess.
- Digg: not so much actually, but there can be interesting articles around.
Art communities
- deviantART: always new additions, always amazing hence I always visit. I’m not quite happy that it’s usually just the popular and “well-respected” artists that clog the front-page. It’s harder to find other new but great artists.
- Skyefairy: for an art community much closer to the web circle I’m in (or was in). It covers up for the downside I pointed out for deviantART.
For most of the above, my username is wildx22. Actually, that’s my username for almost anything.
That doesn’t seem like a long list, but I sure as hell spend hours on them each day; plus the MSN, reading other sites I subscribed to and of course, recently admiring Rikkye’s new layout… I have no life because the Internet sucked it away from me.
So how does the Internet kill your time? (That’s laying the blame on the Internet, not me.
