Disturbia and The Invasion

Oh gawd. Two great movies. But if you have balls as small as mine, do not watch these scary movies alone.

The Invasion

It was an interesting story and I love Nicole Kidman movies. However, it all seemed a little meaningless or let's say there was a lack of explanation. The zombies kept saying it would be a better world for humans to live as zombies but never really explained why it'd be a better world. Along with that, it didn't explain why the spacecraft exploded in the beginning. If you haven't watched the movie, you probably didn't get all that. Perhaps I'll get the novel and read it sometime.

So I watched this movie until 11.30 pm last night. My two friends who were texting me went to bed and I didn't have the guts to remain awake to watch this movie by myself. I stopped it at 00:43:43 and woke up this morning to continue it. It's an exciting movie, but don't watch it alone near midnight.

Disturbia

My heart rate has only just returned to normal now from watching this movie. Before I started watching, my friend Daniel said he'd be surprised if I get scared by this movie. Well FFS that got me very relaxed that the freaking out was double the effect.

It was exciting too. The plot was good and the funny parts were really funny. And I was cleverer this time to watch the movie earlier in the evening so it finished an hour before midnight, nevertheless still scared the shit out of me. It would've been much sweeter watching this with a sexy guy but I'm just a poor, unlucky girl.

Well that was my cardiovascular exercise for two consecutive nights. You know, a lazy alternative to working out.

I would hope that my balls are nonexistant! :P I haven't seen The Invasion, but saw Disturbia in the cinemas... it was alright, but far from edge-of-your-seat thrilling. I think my problem with it was that it was so clearly ripped off from Hitchcock's Rear Window, though they tried to give it a modern adolescent twist. I just kept comparing parts of the movie to the original, and I think that really spoilt it.

I haven't watched those movies before because I'm not allowed out to the movies until I get my exams over with :( I can never stand scary movies. The scariest I've seen so far is Apartment 1303. *shrugs*

    I loved Disturbia!

Favourite quote : Don't do it! That's 60 gigs of my life!

    Love it. :)

I thought Disturbia was very good, even though I dislike scary movies, due to me scaring way too easily, and not having a cuddle buddy close by. One, Shia Leboeuf is hawwwt. Two, it had comedic elements. Three, I cried from fear. :P

    Disturbia sounds pretty good.
I've never heard of it before, though.
I hate zombie movies though :P

I had a question, did you create your reading log thing or is it a plug in of some sort?

I watched Disturbia with my boyfriend and he just kept laughing at me because I have a habit of yelling at the screen when the characters do cliche things like go into a murderer's house. It wasn't fun at all. You're lucky you didn't have a boy with you :P

Rachael: Ooh that part was crack up XD But my favourite is the funny Asian guy.

    Becca: I created it. :)

Nellie: I always scream at those cliche parts too. I don't understand why guys just don't get freaked by those.

Hmm...I may have to watch those movies. I love horror and scary movies. Though they rarely scare me.

I know! It gets me so annoyed when I'm watching a movie with some guy and he just sits there smirking whenever I scream/jump at the scenes. How is it that they're just not affected? =.= What's more, after I watch a freaky movie, it takes me weeks, even months, to get over it and be able to sleep properly ... sigh.

I want to watch both of those =O

I think the whole meaning of the invasion was for the humans to become zombies so they didn't have to live in pain and fear anymore. It seems that a lot of zombie movies circle around this concept because zombies usually don't display emotion. It kind of reminds me of "The Faculty" as well.

I love disturbia. It was a great movie.

I would probably never watch those movies for fear of having a heart attack right in the middle of them!
Scary films make me jumpy and paranoid :P but maybe I'll give Disturbia a try.

I never saw The Invasion, but I did see Disturbia. I didn't even know that The Invasion was out yet. I wouldn't watch either of them alone though haha
