Latest Internet obsessions

I used to think all those Web 2.0 social bookmarking and posting websites were useless. As in, I used to. Firstly, a while ago I gave in to del.icio.us, then Tumblr, then Last.fm, Twitter and the latest Flickr. (There are actually more.) Well what is the point of knowing what others are doing and listening to? Stalking purposes of course. Need I say more?
Along with that, I also installed the Firefox extensions Twitterbar (absolute love) and Shareholic to assist in posting to some of those.
Of course, can't skip out my own website. I spent a while putting my Twitter into the footer and hours this morning to get my Flickr photos onto my new Photographs page. It was a mission because they're stupid enough to not provide easier ways of displaying tweets/photos on user websites by PHP. And I didn't want the JavaScript and Flash options because pfft, PHP > all. Now add me if you're active on any of those sites. My username is usually either "wildx" or "wildx22" anywhere.
This is an open invitation to stalk me!
On another note, I'm finding it really weird how I can't access wildx.org on my computer (works for others) most of the time when snow-willow.com always works. And they're both on the same server so technically they should either be both up or both down. Sometimes I'd be halfway through uploading something to the site when I can't connect through anymore. Therefore, please excuse any obvious and ugly overnight code errors you may come across.

Yes, I joined quite a few too ... then got tired of updating them. I just can't find the patience. Now I only update my Tumblr.
As for the weird website problem, I know you've probably done it, but just in case, try clearing your cache? -

I'm glad to say that I haven't been drawn into the whole... Web 2.0 applications fad yet. Well, I'm a part of Last.fm and Flickr (I don't use it often), but that's just about it. I don't understand the whole hype over Twitter, because... well, do you honestly need to know what someone is doing every single moment of the day (well some people do... ;) ).
But who knows? I might go back on my words and give in.

I recall Flickr being around before those other Web 2.0 utilities materialized. Anyway, Flickr is in its own class altogether in terms of its offerings. I only wish it promised unlimited photo uploads at the free level..
-

Newton: True. But I still got into it last so far.

-

Added you on del.icio.us and Flickr. =] My usernames are always Yuyu or Tsuyu or something like that.

*is too busy stalking Rilla to post a proper comment*

I'm not stalking you... honest! You stalked me first
Anyways, I added you back ;)
I've yet to implement twitter in my blog, but then I'm procrastinating
I've coded enough for a while (2 hours of coding daily for three days kills) haha. -

I frequently use Twitter and Flickr, too. Nevertheless, I did not find a working way yet to display my Tweets on my blog. I tried it out once, but it broke the layout. The Flickr RSS plugin works fine though, and I have my photos in the bottom sidebar now. I do dislike Flash and stuff too, and try to avoid it where possible.

On my way to keep up my stalking, Rilla lol. Oh, I think HIM is cute. Don't worry he may just be busy. Don't always think the worst.
-

Daniela: I was looking around for a script and saw that Flickr RSS plugin too but it's for WordPress and the coding looked more complicated than how I'd like it. But I have to admit that the coding in there helped me work out mine!

Web 2.0 sites rock! Well, some of them do. ^_^ I also love Trendio which is a game.
I love Twitter. I like Flickr too but I haven't uploaded any photos to it lately? Twitter Tools isn't too hard to set up, is it? o.O -

Btw sorry I don't mean it in an offensive way, lol. I just mean that Twitter Tools is pretty easy to set up, right? I mean all you need to do is activate the plug-in, enter your (Twitter) username and password and put it on your site using a widget or a PHP snippet?
-

I only really use last.fm regularly, but Leila recently switched from Photobucket to Flickr so I ended up doing that too. All my photos are really boring anyway, and my camera could favorably be described as shoddy. Anyway, Web 2.0 stuff doesn't overwhelmingly thrill me...I'm kind of slow to adopt new things until I'm utterly convinced of their usefulness. I added you on last.fm, just so you know.
-

Nanda: No offence taken! But I don't know what Twitter Tools are. The widget things they offer I have seen are in JavaScript or Flash so they wouldn't load on JavaScript/Flash-disabled browsers.
-

Hmm, lots of websites. I've fallen for most of them too, except last.fm, but I'm not really interested in what it "offers" and Twitter, that seems useless but it sometimes makes me curious, and I'm sure I'll give in soon. Heh.
-

I'm obsessed with Flickr and LastFM. Flickr is incredibly addictive. I've never tried Twitter or Tumblr, though.
I've added you on Flickr and LastFM.
-

Heh. I didn't really like the whole Web 2.0 thing either. I gave into Flickr very early on though. I just very recently gave in to Twitter. Hahaha.
-

I'm once an user of Last FM. But I forget the password and the username for it. It is pretty interesting at first, but I'm sick and tired of it now. Especially when l couldn't use the Last FM I download in my computer. Wildx doesn't worked for you sometimes. It's terrible for a web designer to encounter such problems. It's irriating. Hopefully this problem will be solved in the near future. I've to go now as I've something to be done. Bye-Q~!

Ugh, I have way too many to count, so thank god for friendfeed.1

I added you to my Last.fm and flickr if you don't mind (both my usernames there are "beliael")!
