Years ago, I purchased Procreate on my iPad. I played around on my own, I drew an eye that I was quite pleased with, then never got further. The most obvious reasons were lack of time and not understanding all the features, but most of it was the doubt that I could draw anything half decent on it anyway.
In late November, my sister started dabbling in Procreate, and at the same time I got hit with ads for the Black Friday sale on Domestika, with all courses for AUD 1.99, so I tried one out, and… now I'm in love (I swear this is not a marketing post).
In the first two weeks, I completed my first two ever digital illustrations of characters following the guidance from a course by Cristina Gómez:
Since then, I've also followed free tutorials from Art with Flo and James Julier to create these:
For Christmas, I even managed to draw this gingerbread man all on my own!
